Eudora sighed and dialed Colbert's number on her phone while walking toward the exit. She changed her shoes and went out of the house.
The call connected as Eudora entered the elevator, and Colbert's voice came through on the other end. He asked, "Eudora, are you awake?"
"Tell me now, where are you?"
Eudora questioned Colbert directly, wanting to know where he was. Yet, as she entered the elevator, the signal dropped, and she could not catch what he was saying.
She reached the basement parking lot, stepped out of the elevator, and headed toward Colbert's assigned parking space. And there, standing not far away, was none other than Colbert himself.
In front of him was a breathtaking woman wearing a red, figure-hugging pencil skirt with long, wavy, golden hair that reached her waist.
Seeing this, Eudora was surprised and could not help but muttered to herself, "Who is she?"
Just as Eudora was about to walk over, she witnessed the woman wrapping her arms around Colbert in a tight embrace!
"Oh, my Colbert, I've missed you so much. It felt like forever since we last met," Lisha Walton exclaimed, giving Colbert a tight hug. She then let go and playfully hit his chest. "You're such a headache, you know. Can't you even contact me if I don't contact you?"
"Why would I even bother contacting you, a woman?" Colbert frowned, and a tinge of impatience crossed his gaze. "What do you want from me?"
"Ugh, you're so annoying!" she teased.
Lisha's tiny fist pounded on Colbert's chest. "Hey, you can't talk to girls like that. If I reached out to you, it is because I miss you. Obviously."
Frustrated, she stomped her foot, and a rosy blush tinged her cheeks with a hint of coyness.
Colbert retorted, "Would it kill you to speak normally?"
Colbert was irritated as he was repulsed by Lisha's overly cutesy and affectionate demeanor.
"Well, that's how I speak, hmm." Lisha coldly hummed, displaying her haughty demeanor. Then she drew closer to him, directly linking her arm with his. "I came back just for you. As the host, you must accompany me. And tonight, I don't care whatever excuse you have. You better prepare a welcome banquet for me."
