Chapter 12 Pregnant
After answering the phone, Belinda asked Eudora to contact her whenever she needed anything. Eudora agreed happily and hung up the phone.
"Stop the car."
After hanging up the phone, Eudora immediately asked Corey to stop the car.
Colbert looked at her coldly and stretched out to pinch her chin. He forced her to look at him and said, "Do you think you can do whatever you want with Grandma supporting you?"
"No."
Eudora pushed his hand away and stopped flattering him. "Colbert, although you are handsome and rich, not everyone is so money-worshiping and wants to marry you. You don't have to feel so good about yourself."
"As for what happened this time, it was completely an accident. I know you don't want me to be pregnant, and I don't want to carry your child either."
"Two months later, you can ask Corey to follow me when I go to the hospital for an examination. If the result shows that I am pregnant, I can get rid of the kid immediately. From then on, we will have nothing to do with each other."
Listening to her solemn words, the corners of Colbert's lips curled up. "Do you think I will believe what you say?"
He would never believe a cunning and sophisticated woman who was also good at pretending!
"Believe it or not, this is the best choice, isn't it?" Eudora smiled confidently.
Her bright smile disgusted Colbert. "Stop the car!"
The car stopped, and Eudora said very politely, "Goodbye."
Then, she pushed open the car door, slammed the door, and left. The car shook slightly.
Inside the car, Colbert raised his hand and rubbed his temples, feeling that Eudora was very troublesome. "Immediately monitor her cell phone and arrange for someone to watch her from a distance."
"Yes, Mr. Steele."
Corey agreed. He didn't ask much, but he had followed Colbert for many years, so he knew very well what Colbert was thinking.
Colbert worried that during the two months, Eudora might find another man or use other means to get pregnant and claim the child belongs to him.
After that, for a month and a half, Eudora never saw Colbert again.
Her life had also returned to normal. She worked as a security guard at Philomel Club at night. And during the day, she would deliver takeout to customers when she had time. Or, she would deliver meals to her adoptive mother in the hospital.
As for her adoptive father, he was still unconscious.
On this day, Eudora, who was delivering takeout, received a call from the private detective she had hired.
"Ms. Stanford, I have found the owner of the car that caused the accident," said the detective.
The driver who caused the car accident of Eudora's adoptive parents escaped. After the accident, the police learned that the car in the accident should have been scrapped, so the driver could not be found at all.
The private detective managed to find the car, then extracted the blood from it and made a DNA comparison.
Then, the detective discovered that the driver who caused the accident was a suspect.
After that, Eudora was sure that the Baldwin family must have bribed the police officers who handled the case. Otherwise, they could easily find out these facts if they wanted to.
"Where is that driver?"
"Let's talk in person. I'll be in Kenison City in two hours, and I'll contact you then."
"Okay, thanks for your hard work."
After hanging up the phone, Eudora murmured, "Dad, Mom, the truth will be revealed soon. I will definitely seek justice for you."
At the same time, in the Creek Villa.
Yvette received a call. And after hanging up the phone, she looked nervously at Glenn and Alva, who were sitting on the sofa, and said anxiously, "The driver of the car accident has been found by the private detective hired by Eudora. Could she have already guessed that we did it?"
"What? How did Eudora catch him? Didn't you say you found someone reliable?" Alva put on a panicked look.
This matter could affect the reputation of the Baldwin family, and she couldn't get away from it. Alva was even more afraid that this matter would have a great negative impact on her.
Glenn seemed gloomy. "Alva has been getting closer and closer to Mr. Steele recently. We must not let Eudora find out that this matter has anything to do with us. Otherwise, if the truth is exposed, the status of our family will be ruined."
Yvette said, "Yeah, I'm also worried about this."
Glenn frowned and thought for a while. He said, "Only a dead man can keep a secret, the driver has to die."
