This time around, Cornelia adjusted her breath and hit the bullseye right on the dot. Brian still hit above where Cornelia had hit.
After a few rounds, they were neck and neck and into the final round. They both seemed chill, but the three spectators felt the tension and held their breaths.
Wyatt said, "How come Cornelia's so bossy? If she backed off a bit, wouldn't Brian let her win?"
Alexa said, "Cornelia's so bossy, wouldn't she have a fit if she lost?"
Emily said, "Should we have really helped Brian test Nelly?"
Alexa gave Emily's ear a twist, "Now you realize we shouldn't have? It's too late!"
Emily said, "I just thought it would be fun."
While they were chit-chatting, the game was over. In the last round, Cornelia hit the bullseye again, while Brian's bullet veered off the target and hit the one next to it.
He was stunned, then roared, "Cornelia, are you playing dirty?"
Cornelia shrugged and smirked, "Who said there's a rule against playing dirty?"
Brian said, "There isn't, but it's not cool to play dirty in a competition. This round doesn't count. Let's do it again."
Cornelia took off her helmet, turned to the three in the stands, "Is Brian a sore loser? Lost is lost, why do you want a rematch?"
The three guys said nothing.
Brian said, "Cornelia, you!" He was so mad he couldn't finish his sentence.
Cornelia said, "Brian's lost for words, anyone want to speak for him?"
