Impulsive Vow to an Enigmatic Husband novel Chapter 1207

Cornelia had been painting all morning, and it wasn't until Patricia came upstairs to call her for lunch that she realized she had lost track of time. Rubbing her sore arm, she asked, "Patricia, what tasty grub have you whipped up for lunch?"

"I made some baked salmon." Patricia said.

Hearing that, Cornelia got so excited she started hopping around, clutching Patricia's arm, "Patricia, you're such a star. I was just thinking about having some salmon, and here you are, serving it up."

Watching the carefree Cornelia, Patricia couldn't help but feel worried, "Nelly, did you have a proper talk with Marc last night?"

Cornelia shook her head, "Nope."

"Why not? The best time to sort out couple's issues is before bedtime. Men are usually more inclined to listen then." Patricia said.

Cornelia laughed, "Patricia, I haven't seen Granny Luisa in a while. I don't have any plans this afternoon, so why don't we go visit her after lunch?"

Patricia sighed, "That sounds like a good plan. Marc always listens to Granny Luisa. If he's giving you trouble, you should talk to her. Let her set him straight."

Cornelia chuckled, "Marc's not giving me any trouble."

Frustrated, Patricia said, "He had another woman stay the night at your house. How is that not giving you trouble?"

"He invited Tahlia to stay for my sake." Cornelia said.

"But this morning..." Patricia said.

Cornelia, not wanting to revisit the morning's events, quickly cut Patricia off.

"Patricia, I didn't have breakfast, and I'm starving. Let's go have lunch." Cornelia said.

Worried about Cornelia's hunger, Patricia agreed, "Alright, let's go eat."
