Cornelia got thrown for a loop, then she sweetly smiled, hugging Granny Luisa's arm, "Why do you think I'm putting on a brave face?"
Granny Luisa lifted her hand, gently patting Cornelia's head, "Just a gut feeling!"
Cornelia, pretending to be at ease, made a funny face, "Guess I'm not lively enough, got you all confused."
Granny Luisa couldn’t really pinpoint why she felt that way; she hoped her intuition was off.
"Nelly, I'm old, I don't really get what you young folks are thinking, can't cover all bases for you. Right now, I’m not thinking much, just shooting the breeze. If you don’t want to have kids, then don’t. I won’t push you. I just hope you’re happy every day and live each day to its fullest." Granny Luisa said.
Cornelia looked at Granny Luisa, and said earnestly, "I get it. You don't owe me anything, and you don't need to go the extra mile for me. You said your biggest wish is for me to be happy every day, same here. I wish for you to be happy and healthy every day. That's my biggest wish now."
Granny Luisa gently poked her forehead, "You're always so considerate."
"Granny Luisa, it's a cool day today, how about I accompany you for a walk?" Cornelia said.
"Sure." Granny Luisa agreed.
Just then, Granny Luisa's phone rang. She took a glance, it was Granny Wilson, who she just mentioned.
Granny Luisa showed her phone to Cornelia with a big grin, "Nelly, look. Told you she couldn’t resist giving me a ring. And there she goes."
Seeing Granny Luisa happy, Cornelia was also happy, "Okay, answer the phone, see what she's got to say."
Granny Luisa quickly picked up the phone. Granny Wilson sounded a bit peeved, "Luisa Artis, when will you stop getting on my nerves?"
Looked like Granny Wilson was really ticked off, she called Granny Luisa by her name.
