Pandora said, "Your place is pretty decent."
Hannah flashed a smile, "I spent a good chunk of change on it, you know."
Pandora didn’t pick up on Hannah’s hint, instead, she opened the big bag she brought and started to unpack, "These are some local goodies from back home."
Hannah responded, "I've told you countless times, I can get anything I want here, and you don't need to haul so much stuff each time you come. You lugging such a big bag around, it's exhausting, not to mention a pain when you're on a plane or train."
"Can what you buy here really compare with the stuff from home?" Pandora retorted, somewhat peeved.
Hannah was speechless. She had a point. Some things, were indeed only delicious when they were from home. No matter how expensive the stuff she bought here, it just didn’t have that authentic taste.
Pandora continued, "Remember these corn cakes? You used to gobble them up. I don't know if you still like them, but I brought a big bag just in case. And there’s also these......"
Hannah just looked on, silently listening. Suddenly, Farley rushed up to Hannah and threw his arms around her, "I've missed you."
Hannah chuckled and asked, "How's your grades? You're graduating next year, think you can make it into a top high school?"
"Can we not talk about school the moment we meet?" Farley let go of her, a touch annoyed.
"You're a student, what else should we talk about?" Hannah said.
Farley frowned, "You don't have to worry about my grades, why don't you focus on your own stuff?"
"What did you say?" Hannah grabbed Farley's ear, "I'm your sister, if I don't look out for you, who will?"
"Hannah, you should sort out your own stuff before you start meddling in mine." Farley said.
