Patricia piped up again, "Granny Luisa, how're you gonna explain this to Old Augustine?"
Granny Luisa shot back, "You guys are all my crew. If you screw up, it's on me."
Patricia felt guilty as hell, "I should apologize to him."
Granny Luisa retorted, "You? You seriously think you can handle this mess?"
They were talking about the Durans here, Augustine was the big shot in their circle. His granddaughter was almost killed because of them, did they think he would let it slide without a proper explanation?
Granny Luisa straightened herself up, walked back to Grandpa Augustine, "Old Augustine, the mess today was my people's fault, I'm here to apologize."
Grandpa Augustine waved her off, "No need for apologies. Just take your people and leave. And promise me, none of you Hartleys will ever show up in front of Nelly."
Granny Luisa replied, "I consider Nelly my own granddaughter, there's no way I can avoid her. Plus, she's carrying a Hartley baby."
Grandpa Augustine snapped, "Your Hartley baby? We're not even sure if it's viable yet, and you're all ready to risk Nelly's life for it. And here you have the nerve to tell me you consider Nelly as your granddaughter. Tell me, if it were your own Briana, what would you have done?"
Granny Luisa never had such thoughts before, but if her people messed up, it was on her, "It's my fault. But I promise you, nothing like this will ever happen again."
