Marcus was a bit nervous. "Granny, that's not what I'm thinking."
"It doesn't matter what you're thinking; it's all about how Cornelia sees it," Granny Luisa continued. "Since you've missed the golden chance to disclose your real identity, there's no need to stress about it now. Just be nice to her from now on; she'll get your point."
Granny Luisa suddenly remembered something before she finished talking: "Hold on, you two have already shared a bed. Cornelia even bought shoes for you; how could she possibly not know you're her husband?"
Marcus knew the grannies got it all wrong. He had to create the misunderstanding out of desperation that night: "We didn't sleep together. That time, when Cornelia and I were on a business trip in the Capital, she felt sick all of a sudden. I asked her granny about her condition, and Granny Rebecca video-called Cornelia because she was worried. I picked up the call so Granny Rebecca wouldn't worry; that's how the misunderstanding happened."
Granny Luisa was disappointed, so the dream of having a great-grandchild was shattered again. "The thing about Cornelia buying shoes for you—that's not made up, right?"
Marcus sighed. "She bought them for Jeremy."
"You're still jealous." Granny chuckled and poked his forehead, saying, "Honesty is the best policy in a marriage. She doesn't even know your real identity yet, and you two are planning on spending a lifetime together; you have to bear the consequences of your actions."
"What are you guys talking about?" Granny Rebecca woke up and was helped by a caretaker to the living room.
Marcus quickly helped Granny. Rebecca sit down and said, "Granny, are you feeling okay?"
"I'm fine; why did you come alone again?" Granny Rebecca knew she was getting worse and really hoped they could visit her together.
Granny Luisa was quick to react: "He came to ask for advice on how to handle a marriage. He said he wanted to have a good relationship with Cornelia, but he's worried he won't do a good job, so he's stressed out. Let's not put pressure on them; let them handle it."
Granny Rebecca asked, "Did you and Cornelia fight again?"
