This little girl, full of zest and warmth, was nothing like her brother, who was cold and quiet. It was like they had different genes or something.
"Cornelia..." Briana hugged Cornelia, "Finally, I can openly call you Marcus' wife, no more hiding."
Cornelia blushed, "You knew all along, didn't you?"
Briana clung to Cornelia, as if she couldn't get close enough, "Nah, I only found out just before Christmas."
Cornelia glanced at Marcus, pouting, "So, I'm the only one who's been kept in the dark."
Briana, "It wasn't my choice to keep it from you, my bro wouldn't let me tell. Otherwise, I would've spilled the beans."
"Uh..." Marcus adjusted his glasses, "My bad!"
"I remember a line from a TV show, 'If sorry was enough, why would we need the police?'". With Cornelia by her side, Briana dared to tease her brother.
With Marcus glaring at her, she pulled Cornelia away, "Let's go find Granny. She's put a lot of effort into making you feel welcome. Hope you like it."
"If Granny prepared it, I'm sure I'll love it." Cornelia patted Briana’s head, "Where've you been? Haven't seen you in a while."
Briana said, "I've been busy planning a comic convention with friends. Lots of famous artists and fans will be there at the Riverton Convention Center. It lasts a week, and it starts this weekend. You should come if you're interested."
