Zack said, "You're a guest. Go chill in the living room, snack on some fruits and treats, and watch some TV. No need to help out."
Nash responded, "After I marry Abby, you'll be family. We're all in this together, why are you being so formal?"
Zack said, "I'm not being formal, just that we only need to prepare food for five people. We've got everything ready. Cold dishes are all set, hot dishes are almost done. We just have a few more dishes to stir-fry. Everything is already prepared, and we just need to throw it in the wok. If you really want to lend a hand, make sure to arrive at ten as agreed. Don't drag it until eleven."
Nash chuckled, "Alright, I'll make sure to come earlier next time."
Abigail came into the kitchen, grabbed Nash's hand and led him to the living room. "Just sit here and keep me company while we watch TV and munch on snacks."
Nash looked around then towards a closed door, "Abby, what's Nelly up to? I can't wait to see her."
Abigail said, "Hold your horses, you'll see her at dinner. And you can't call her Nelly, that's a nickname only Zack and I can use."
Nash said, "Alright, I'll take your word for it."
Abigail grabbed a handful of peanuts, munching while staring at Cornelia's door, "Ugh, Cornelia, are you pulling my leg, is Marcus not cutting it? If he's not up to par, why did he pull you into the room during the day?"
Just as Abigail started to feel duped, Cornelia's door swung open, and out came the towering figure of Marcus. He then shut the door behind him.
