Hannah was still in disbelief, "Cornelia, you're his wife?"
Marcus replied, "Yeah, Cornelia is my wife."
Hannah looked at Cornelia again, the two of them made a good pair, pretty easy on the eyes. But no matter how good they looked together, it didn't change the fact that...
Well, the people involved in a relationship knew best and outsiders had no place to butt in. Although Hannah was confused, she didn't voice it out.
Rosie, always one to speak her mind, asked outright, "Marcus, Cornelia, have you two split up with your previous partners?"
Marcus explained, "There was no previous partner. My wife has always been Cornelia!"
Rosie pressed on, "So no one got swapped out? What’s going on exactly?"
Lucas, wrapping his arm around his wife, said, "Weren't you just saying that Marcus and Cornelia make a perfect couple and you hoped that Cornelia would be Marcus's wife? Now you're acting all shocked as if you can't accept it."
Rosie responded, "It's not that I can't accept it. I'm just too shocked and I still don't understand what's really happening."
Steven suggested, "This is a long story, let's all sit down and have dinner first, we can chat while we eat."
"You guys go ahead and sit, I have some things I want to discuss privately with Cornelia." Hannah felt that everyone else seemed to know about Marcus and Cornelia's situation and only she and Rosie were left in the dark.
She had to ask Cornelia what was really going on.
Steven chuckled and said, "Honey, is there something you can't ask in front of me? You know, I'm a bit worried about Cornelia."
