Lost in Mr. Preston's Temptation novel Chapter 19

ARCTIC was not famous, but it was still included in the country’s top 100 listed companies. Even if other companies wanted to buy it, they wouldn’t be able to afford it.

But now, Ethan had said that he would take back ARCTIC for her within half a year.

Clara urgently needed someone to support her, and Ethan was undoubtedly the best. She couldn’t wait to agree to the man’s request.

But after calming down, she remembered the rumors about Ethan Preston, and slightly clenched her fists.

She had heard that Ethan had married twice, however both brides had suddenly died the day before the wedding. No one openly said anything about it, but in private they would gossip that Ethan Preston was a wife killer.

After a while, Clara Rowan couldn’t help but ask, “Why me?”

Even if Ethan’s previous two marriages hadn’t been successful, the Prestons were super rich. Marrying into the family would mean boundless wealth that she could enjoy.

Even if they knew that they were going to die, many women would still scramble after wealth.

“Because you have no family background, and no relatives,” Ethan Preston said lightly, “You’re not a threat to me.”

“...”

Clara quickly remembered that the first woman who married Ethan had been the daughter of a shipping tycoon. Before getting married she had suddenly died. The shipping tycoon was heartbroken after hearing that and had to be treated twice in the ICU. The Prestons had spent two billion dollars to appease them.

The second woman who married Ethan was the daughter of a well-known food group. Because of her daughter’s tragic death, the chairman had also received a considerable sum of money from the Prestons.

It was only now that Clara finally understood why Ethan had helped her so many times, acting like he was a good person.

It turned out that he liked that she had no family background or relatives to handle.

Even if she suddenly died, Ethan wasn’t afraid that the Rowan family would ask him for a huge amount of compensation.

Seeing Ethan’s calm calculation, Clara’s back turned cold. After taking a deep breath, she firmly said, “Okay, I’ll marry you.”

As long as he could help her exact revenge, then she wouldn’t mind giving her life to him!

Seeing Clara’s agreement, Ethan’s cold face seemed to melt a bit. “I’ll be free tomorrow morning. Take your family register and we’ll go to the city hall to get a certificate.”

Hearing this, Donny looked at the boss in the rear-view mirror, eyes filled with surprise.

Didn’t Mr. Preston say it was going to be a fake wedding?

He already had someone prepare a fake marriage certificate, why now...

“Ah, okay.” Since she had agreed to get married, naturally he wanted to get a certificate. Clara had nothing to object about.

Soon, the car arrived at Preston Village.

Clara followed Ethan upstairs, and relaxed when she saw him enter his bedroom and close the door.

After returning to her side bedroom, Clara took a bath and then went to sleep. However, she didn’t sleep well.

When she closed her eyes, she remembered her dead parents, and the cold corpse of her grandmother in the hospital ward, and Steve Lane’s cold and merciless eyes......... everything pressed down on her and she felt as if she couldn’t breathe.

When Clara woke up the next day, she was still a little dizzy.

She washed up and went downstairs. Ethan was already sitting at the dining table eating breakfast, with Donny waiting beside him.

“Morning, Ms. Rowan.” Donny greeted Clara.

“Morning.” Clara smiled and came over to the dining room. She sat down opposite Ethan, and a maid quickly set breakfast in front of her.

Clara was eating her breakfast absentmindedly, occasionally raising her head to peek at Ethan. She watched him eat gracefully, not making a sound, while use a tablet in one hand.

After hesitating for a moment, Clara said, “Mr. Preston......”

“What?” Ethan’s eyes swept over Clara’s face. Seeing her face full of confusion, he asked “Do you regret it?”
