Clara saw something in the certificate, and she suddenly became sober. Turning to look at Ethan, she said, “Mr. Preston, you, you are older than me......”

“Yes, by nine years.” Ethan finishing her sentence with a cold expression.

Clara Rowan looked at the age of the man on the marriage certificate and thought of the night at the hotel half a month ago. She suddenly thought: ‘He didn’t act his age’

Such an old man, even though he was tricked that night, he hadn’t seemed drunk. Couldn’t he have pushed himself away?

Seeing that Clara had an unpleasant expression, Ethan raised an eyebrow. “Why, do you have a problem with that?”

“No, it was just surprising.” Clara immediately dispelled her depression. She and Ethan weren’t really going to be husband and wife, so of course she didn’t care about age difference.

They left the city hall side by side.

Clara suddenly remembered something and pursed her pink lips, “Mr. Preston......”

Before she had a chance to say anything, Ethan suddenly leaned over, his breath falling on her face, “Sorry, I may have to kiss you.”

Before Clara could react, her chin was suddenly held by the man. She was forced to raise her head and meet his warm kiss.

Clara was stupefied for a second, then she stiffened.

The man did not simply touch her lips, he pried open her teeth and kissed her forcefully. A strong masculine aura filled Clara mouth and made her legs limp.

After a full minute of kissing, Ethan ended. He put his hand around Clara’s slender waist to prevent her from falling.

Clara eyes were red. Only able to breathe, she leaned on him to support herself.

“Mr. Preston.” A middle-aged man walked up to the two of them. His hairstyle was meticulous, and he seemed to be a housekeeper. He greeted Ethan with a smile.

Ethan nodded, “Josh, why are you here?”

“I come to the city office to get something.” Josh quickly looked at the woman in Ethan’s embrace, “Sir, this is.......”

Ethan held Clara in his arms with a gentle expression. “This is my wife, Clara; we got our marriage certificate three minutes ago.”

Josh immediately smiled. “Congratulations Mr. Preston, your grandma will be very happy to know.”

“She has just married me and needs some time to adjust,” Ethan said, “When she has adjusted, I will take her to see my grandmother.”

“Okay, don’t let me interrupt you two.” Josh bowed down towards Ethan and left quickly.

Although Clara legs were a little weak, her brain was still working. After listening to the whole conversation, she guessed that Ethan had kissed her in order to let Josh see it.

At Ethan age, it was only right for his grandmother to worry about him getting married and having children.

It seems like Ethan hadn’t lied to her...

“Are you okay?” Ethan asked, looked down at Clara.

“I’m...I’m good.” Clara had just left the man’s embrace, but her legs were still weak, and she almost fell down the stairs.

Ethan quickly took her back into his arms and carried her to his car by the road, “How come your legs got so weak after a kiss? Was your marriage with Steve fake?”
