Lost in Mr. Preston's Temptation novel Chapter 88

Without the door’s obstruction, the moan from the woman in the bathroom became clearer.

Perhaps because he smelled her scent, Ethan felt a little hot, and unbuttoned two buttons on his shirt while walking into the bathroom.

Clara had been soaking in cold water for a while, but her face was still flushed.

She looked uncomfortable, like a fish flopping around in the water. Her whole body was wet, and where her wrists were tied there was a red mark.

Ethan swept his eyes over the messy bathtub and the woman in it. He paused, but soon stepped into the bathroom and squatted down next to the bathtub.

Clara seemed to smell the scent on his body and struggled even harder.

Ethan rubbed his thumb against her gentle lips, and the unconscious Clara followed instinct and sent her cheek toward his hand, kissing his finger reverently.

He stared at her, and his eyes gradually became deeper.

He could’ve brought in the antidote for Clara, but then he had suddenly changed his mind.

Perhaps during that night at the hotel, she had left too deep of an impression on him...

Ethan pulled off the tie that had tied up Clara wrists, and she immediately held his neck and pressed her wet body tightly against his chest.

She put her lips to his face and neck, kissing clumsily.

Ethan furrowed his eyebrows slightly.

Why did he feel that in Clara’s eyes, he was just a tool?

Clara unintentionally pulled on the necklace around the man’s neck, but it seemed to break a barrier in his heart.

He used his hand to hold the back of Clara’s head and fiercely kissed her.

At five o’clock in the morning, when the world outside the window started to get light, Ethan came out of the bathroom.

He was wearing a dark blue bathrobe from the hotel. The collar was slightly open and revealed his honey-colored chest.

He wiped his hair with a dry towel, then subconsciously looked at the bed.

Clara’s black hair was scattered on the snow-white pillow, and her eyes were closed in a deep sleep. Her little face was slightly pale from exhaustion.

Ethan quickly averted his eyes away and went to the door to open it.

He hadn’t expected George to be pressed against the door eavesdropping. Because Ethan had opened the door, he fell into the room and onto the ground.

Seeing him, Ethan narrowed his eyes. “You’ve been eavesdropping outside the whole time?”

“No! Absolutely not!” George denied that three times in a row as he got up from the ground. “After injecting Baxter with the antidote, didn’t he stabilize? I have nothing else to do, so...”

“How long have you been listening for?”

“Only a little more than an hour.” George grinned, his eyes sweeping over Ethan several times, “As expected of Ethan. He has been busy all night, and he’s still so energetic!”

Ethan threw the towel at his face, and with a cold voice commanded him, “Go in and check on her.”

“Yes, yes, I’ll go right away!”

“Wait.” Ethan grabbed George by the back of his collar and pulled him back, his eyes sharp. “Don’t look at things you shouldn’t be looking at.”

George resisted the urge to roll his eyes, “I’ll just look at her hands, okay?”

After Ethan let go, George followed the assistant carrying the medicine box into the room.
