Quinn chuckled as she listened to her mother. They had just came back from the party. 

"I wanted to badly strangle her neck at that moment. Bitch!" Her mother fumed.

"Language mom." Quinn said helplessly.

"Whatever..." Nicole shrugged.

Quinn yawned; all she wanted at that moment, was a good sleep. Nicole observed her daughter for a while.

"Head upstairs... I'm sure your daughter is already asleep in her room." Nicole got up too.

Her husband and parents in-law hadn't arrived yet. So, she might as well head to bed, right?

Quinn nodded as she headed upstairs... She trudged into the bathroom, took a quick shower and came out again.

She felt refreshed as she fell on her bed.

Recalling the events at the party, she couldn't help but chuckle.

It was a pity she didn't get to have fun like this everyday.

She turned on her bed, and shifted uncomfortably.

Her insomnia was acting up again...

She closed her eyes and tried to force herself to sleep.

An hour later, Quinn groaned as she got out of bed. Lying there was going to make her run mad.

She headed downstairs, and to the kitchen.

She turned the lights on, took out a canned orange juice and closed the fridge back.

Opening the can, she threw her head back and gulped it heartily. While drinking, she had her back to the door.

So, she was quite startled when someone tapped her shoulder.

"Aaah!!!" She screamed in fright.

She whirled around,

"Mum?" She face palmed herself this time.

Nicole chuckled when she saw her daughter's reaction.

"Thought it was a ghost? Well, I don't mind being one, if you really want to see one." Nicole folded her arms.

"What are you doing down here mum?" Quinn was surprised. Didn't she head upstairs to sleep?

"Well, I couldn't sleep at all. So, I came downstairs to get myself a glass of wine." Nicole laughed.

"Same here." Quinn shrugged.

"Why don't we play a game?" Nicole suddenly suggested.

"A game? What game?" Quinn was puzzled.

"Follow me." Nicole gestured.

Both of them headed upstairs, and Nicole led her into their bedroom.

Quinn looked around; this was the first time she had ever entered her parents room. The decor was superb..

"Did you choose the design yourself?" Quinn asked the obvious.

Of course her mother would be the one to choose the design. Her father was too preoccupied, and too lazy to do that.

She watched as her mother walked to the wall. She placed her hand on a certain spot, and she heard a robotic voice say,

"Scanning complete."

Quinn arched her brow in surprise. She continued watching as the wall parted to reveal a flight of stairs...

What in heavens name?

Nicole chuckled as she turned towards her daughter,

"Don't stand there looking. Let's head down." With that, she headed down the stairs...

Quinn followed her lead .

Soon, they entered a wide space. Quinn looked around in confusion; there was nothing there at all!

Was her mother joking with her?

Noticing her confusion, her mother laughed again.

"Game room, activate!"

With that, there was a change of scenery.
