Chapter 196 Resolute Reflections
Anastasia's gaze cooled, and a hint of impatience and anger evident in her refined brows and eyes. "We each have responsibilities, so let's avoid mixing them up. Moreover, remaining in prison, does it serve as retribution or fortune for her? Christian, compassion isn't my strong suit. She has a debt to settle with me, and I plan to resolve it."
Christian felt tightened, and his heart fluttered. "Don't do anything foolish."
He worried that she might exceed limits and provide someone with a reason to exploit.
Anastasia looked down, a chilly smile forming on her lips. "I'm not looking to address any outstanding matters with you. Are you trying to exploit the situation?"
Christian was speechless.
"Step out of the car." Anastasia drove him away without hesitation.
Christian frowned, and he seemed irritated.
He stood still and looked at her imposingly.
A standoff ensued between them.
After a few seconds, Anastasia opened the door and got out, walking around to the back and opening the rear door.
"Get out on your own, or I'll ask you to step out."
Christian's jaw tensed, and his gaze locked onto her. "I haven't reached my destination yet!"
Christian thought, "How could she bear to leave me here? She must be joking!"
Anastasia didn't care whether he had arrived. Since he had made her the chauffeur and upset her, he had to get out of the car.
She gripped Christian's injured right hand on his lap and forcefully pulled it outward.
Christian instantly felt a sharp, piercing pain.
He didn't have a chance to resist!
He was thrown out of the car. He had been left behind.
Anastasia's face remained cold as she drove off without hesitation!
Christian didn't initially grasp what was happening.
The pain in his wrist dulled his senses.
Later, he stood in his perfectly tailored suit, his impeccable appearance contrasting with the colorful flowers on the roadside.
He couldn't believe Anastasia had abandoned him in this desolate place.
