Chapter 217 He's Pursuing You
No one spoke for a moment.
Suddenly, Anastasia chuckled and teased playfully, "I didn't go soft. She did it because of you. So you should be blamed, too!"
Jaxon took a deep look at her and smiled helplessly. He didn't mind her being unreasonable sometimes.
"I didn't know I was the one to blame."
They looked at each other and smiled. Anastasia casually brushed the broken hair by her ear.
Jaxon took out two hundred-dollar bills from his wallet and gave them to the stand's owner.
"Keep the change. No need to prepare the rest."
He was raised a gentleman who would compensate for wasting people's time.
The owner was surprised. "But I'm not finished yet."
"That's okay. You can have them. I'm sorry for keeping you here for so long."
He smiled, took Anastasia's bag, and walked towards the car with her.
He only left after sending Anastasia back to the Graves Manor.
Anastasia went in, and the housekeeper was relieved to see her sober.
"Do you want anything to eat, Ms. Graves? Shall I ask someone to cook something for you?"
Anastasia shook her head and said with a smile, "No. I'm not hungry. You can go on and rest."
"Okay."
Anastasia returned to her room and saw the pink diamond Amanda bought for her.
She picked it up and looked at it under the light. It was really shiny. No wonder everyone loved diamonds!
She took a photo of the diamond and sent it to Amanda: [Thank you, mom!]
Amanda replied: [Sleep tight, sweetie!]
Anastasia put the diamond in the safe box, planning to find a designer first.
Jaxon visited her more frequently recently.
And he always came for business, which made Anastasia unable to refuse him.
