Before Jaxon could finish his sentence, he started coughing again.

Anastasia frowned slightly, undisturbed by the interruption in her thoughts.

She asked, "Didn't you go see a doctor?"

"It's okay, I'll be fine soon," Jaxon reassured her.

Anastasia sighed and called for Jaxon's private doctor to come over before asking the hotel staff to leave. She poured a glass of water for him.

Then she heard the sound of a child calling Daddy again from the bedroom.

Jaxon smiled and walked into the bedroom, taking out his phone to show Anastasia a video David had sent.

"David bought a parrot, but its previous owner had just taught it those two sentences, 'where is Daddy? Has Daddy come back?'"

Jaxon chuckled, "Since I'm involved in the medical field myself, I know that viral flu follows a cycle and I will recover within seven days at most. So, I'm not worried."

Jaxon shrugged helplessly, looking up at her with his deep-set eyes.
