"Tang Sisi…" Chu Feng mumbled as he recalled the time when he rescued her from Huang Feihu's hands.
Under the dim street light, the woman who had been crying pitifully had held his hand tightly and wanted him to stay back and accompany her through the night.
He knew what Tang Sisi was thinking, but he did not want to give her any hope and end up hurting two women.
Chu Feng could only play dumb and leave quickly.
Since that night, Chu Feng had not contacted Tang Sisi.
He was afraid that Tang Sisi might still be sad, and he did not know how to face her when there was something ambiguous going on between them.
He let the phone ring for half a minute before picking it up. "Hey, Sisi, how can I help you?" he said, trying to sound casual.
"Are you in a car accident or something? Why did it take so long for you to pick up?" Tang Sisi said angrily. "Can't I call you without any good reason? I don't always need your help! I'm not that weak or materialistic!"
Chu Feng was dumbfounded. Women could be scary when they were being unreasonable.
"No, but if you need anything, I'll be happy to help…"
"Heh, that's more like it." Tang Sisi grunted in satisfaction. "Well, I do need your help after all. Tomorrow, I'll be hosting a free consultation session at a local orphanage, and I'm afraid I won't be able to handle it alone. Can you come over and help me? It's fine if you don't want to. I can always find someone else who'd appreciate the company of a beautiful young lady."
Tang Sisi really wanted Chu Feng to come along, but she tried her best to sound nonchalant.
"Alright, I'll do," Chu Feng said with a smile. He was free on that day, and he did not mind helping out.
