Chapter 294 The Show Just Began
Today, the headquarters of Farrell Group was in turmoil.
Tiffany and Hank beat Colin and Faye to arrive there.
The door of the president's office was open. Blaine sat in a comfy chair with a livid face.
His office was crowded with people, and they were agitated.
"I have long suspected of Hugh, but you said I was overthinking with certainty."
"The loss caused by the bidding this time is not a small amount. Mr. Farrell, who do you think should be the one to blame for it?"
"Hugh made such a huge mistake, but he's only suspended. Mr. Farrell, it doesn't add up."
Pressured by those shareholders, Blaine was rendered wordless. He leaned into the seat as his chest moved up and down during his breathing.
In the corridor, Tiffany greeted Colin smilingly, "Colin, what are you doing here with Faye?"
Colin was unfazed and said, "I'm worried about my father."
Tiffany uttered, "Same to me and your eldest brother. We've been on tenterhooks since we got to know what's happened in the group."
Both of them had good acting. If they didn't know each other well, they would be unable to tell that they were here to join in the "fun".
Hank was grounded at home these days and didn't look very good.
In just a few days, he looked much thinner than before.
Tiffany then turned to look at Hank and stated, "You are used to keeping things to yourself. You're worried about your father and miss Colin, but you never say it out."
With that, she heaved a sigh as if helplessly. What she said was actually directed at Colin.
Hank was silent, and he set his eyes on Colin. A few seconds later, he looked towards Faye.
Faye looked poised; she was sunk in thought, so she did not notice that Hank was looking at her.
Colin sniffed and naturally wrapped his arm around Faye's waist.
"Hmm?" Faye looked up in confusion.
Colin lowered his head and whispered into her ear, "Baby, I love you."
Faye did not expect that Colin would say that in public, and her ears reddened immediately.
Colin broke into a mischievous smile.
The next second, Colin looked up slightly and met Hank's eyes.
Hank froze and then looked away.
The quarrel in Blaine's office had lasted for more than an hour.
Blaine pretended to be calm and drank coffee. "So what do you guys want me to do with Hugh?" asked he with a darkened face.
"Fire him!"
"Besides, he has to be personally responsible for the loss."
"Mr. Farrell, if you really don't listen to our advice, then we'll have no choice but to ask Old Mr. Farrell to back us up."
Most of the shareholders were the trustworthy partners of Old Mr. Farrell back then.
They appeared loyal to the group, yet they were just taking advantage of their identity as veterans to inflict their thoughts on him.
Blaine took a sip of the coffee and said coldly, "Ask Hugh to come here."
