My Fair Stunner novel Chapter 307

Chapter 307 This Is a Misunderstanding

Hearing what Abbot said and seeing how he looked, Rebecca had mixed feelings at the moment.

If there was a brick on the ground now, she would certainly pick it up and knock herself out.

They looked at each other. Rebecca tried to recover herself and kept compressing her lips. She assumed that it was necessary for her to clear up his misunderstanding. After taking a deep breath, she made up her mind to explain clearly. "Mr. Carter," said she.

Seeing Rebecca seemed in a dilemma, Abbot frowned more deeply and asked, "Have you ever heard of this?"

Rebecca felt a knot in her stomach and uttered, "What is it?"

Abbot ground his teeth and said, "You can't inflict your love on the one who doesn't love you."

Rebecca was rendered speechless.

Rebecca was regretful for thinking of explaining to him.

Abbot's thoughts were oddly different from ordinary people's. If one day, she wanted to prove that she didn't love him at the risk of losing her life, he would probably think that she committed suicide because her love for him was not reciprocated by him.

The atmosphere between Rebecca and Abbot was so awkward when the door of the private room was suddenly opened from the inside. Tanner stood inside the room with a smile and looked at them.

"Have you two been outside the door the whole time? I was going to find you back to have dinner"

With that, Tanner turned sideways, signaling Abbot to enter the room.

When Abbot brushed past Tanner, he deliberately slowed down a little bit and said to Tanner, "Drop your acting. I've known everything."

"Eh?" Tanner was confused.

Rebecca kicked Tanner's calf, motioning him not to speak.

Tanner was even more confused now.

After the three people were seated, the waiters served the food and drinks.

The lunch was on Rebecca today, so she stood up with a wine glass and delivered a speech out of courtesy.

Colin played along, and Rebecca proposed a toast to everybody.

"Today, it's my treat. We are all friends, so don't stand on ceremony. Just eat your fill."

With that, Rebecca downed the wine in her hand and glanced at the dishes on the table, feeling sorry for her purse.

After Rebecca sat down, she kicked Tanner under the table.

Tanner looked up at her and asked with his eyes: [What's wrong?]

Rebecca held her head with one hand, turned to look at Tanner, and said in a voice that was only audible to them two, "We'll split the bill in half. Do you hear me?"

Tanner twitched the corner of his mouth, turning a deaf ear to what she said. He then lowered his head to eat the food on his plate intently, never looking up again.

Rebecca glared at him and kicked him again.

Tanner moved his chair quietly and sat close to Abbot.

Seeing that, Rebecca also moved her chair to Tanner.

Tanner couldn't move anymore, and Rebecca stretched out her foot to kick him again.

After a kick, Tanner was unaffected.

After another kick, Tanner was still unaffected.

After the third kick, Abbot turned to look at Rebecca with his face blushing and uttered, "There are so many people around. What the hell are you doing? "

Hearing Abbot's words, Rebecca was stupefied. She then lowered her head and glanced under the table.

Instantly, she was caught by surprise.

Tanner was so foxy as to sit with his legs crossed. Consequently, the one she had kicked three times was actually Abbot.

Rebecca smiled awkwardly and stated, "Mr. Carter, would you take my word for it if I say this is a misunderstanding?"

Abbot didn't answer her, but the look in his eyes was clear; he didn't believe it at all.

Rebecca took a breath and gave Tanner the evil eye, whereas the latter was now trying his best to stop himself from bursting out laughing.

Maybe she felt sorry for having to spend a lot of money on this meal, or maybe she was angered by Abbot's whimsical train of thought, so Rebecca kept drinking wine.

Faye tried to dissuade her twice, but it was all in vain.

When they all had enough and it was time to get the bill, Rebecca managed to get herself drunk.

They walked out of the private room, and Colin went to pay for the meal with his card. Rebecca wrapped her arms around Faye's neck and murmured, "Faye, I miss you so bad these days!
