My Fair Stunner novel Chapter 313

Chapter 313 A Noisy Night

After sending the message, Faye closed the phone and put it back in her pocket without waiting for a reply.

She looked up and found Colin staring at her with a faint smile.

Faye slightly pursed her lips, “Did you see that?”

“No,” Colin said.

Hearing that, Faye didn't know whether she should be relaxed or more nervous. She paused for a second, then whispered, “It's not a big deal. Enjoy your birthday. I'll tell you tomorrow.”

“Okay,” Colin's thin lips curved.

They chatted as if there was no one else around. Abbot, who was sitting to Colin's left, leaned back on the seat and protested, “Come on, Colin! Did you even think about Ethan’s and my feelings?”

“You are bullying lonely single people, you know?”

As Abbot stopped speaking, Colin lifted his eyes and looked at him with a half-smile, “Envy?”

Abbot looked at Colin's smug face, laughing with anger, “Nope.”

“That makes sense. I have been with Faye for years and she is the only woman I have. But just in one month, Mr. Carter, you have a college ex-girlfriend and a female CEO pay court to you...” Colin said lazily.

Colin’s jeering words made Abbot depressed.

He stared at Colin, speechless.

“My bad. An innocent college ex-girlfriend,” Colin made fun of him.

Abbot's face grew darker.

Abbot was silent. And Ethan, who was sitting beside him, teased, “Abbot, we’ve known each other for a long time and I think perseverance is your best quality.”

Abbot ground his teeth, “Shut up, you are meaner than Colin.”

“People take a detour when they know there’s a tiger in the mountain. But you are curious to find if the tiger is a male or female,” Ethan said.

“...” Abbot was silent again.

When they were joking around, the door was suddenly open.

A young man with yellow hair came in recklessly, saying, “Colin, you didn't invite us to your birthday this year! That’s not right.”

The man was Owen Hawkins, the only son of the Hawkins in Cocanel. The Hawkins had lived politics for generations, and everyone in this big family was so powerful. The hardline family declined when it came to Owen. Maybe it was because Owen was the only son in his generation and was spoiled by them. He was always dissipated.

Even then, no one dared to look down on him in his circle.

No one wanted to look for trouble with a man who had a strong family background.

As Owen finished, Abbot replied immediately, “Look at our little Owen. How thoughtful! He remembers his brother Colin’s birthday.”

“Of course. Of all the people in our circle, I respect Colin most,” Owen said.

“What? Are Ethan and I not good?” Abbot said.

Owen liked joking with Abbot, but he was a little afraid of Ethan. He raised his hand to scratch his head, saying with hesitation, “That’s nonsense!”

Abbot didn’t mean to embarrass Owen. Seeing his awkward face, Abbot came to the rescue, “How do you know we are here?”

“I’m familiar with the lobby manager of Marriott,” Owen said.

“So many "spies", huh?” Abbot said.

Owen smiled hilariously, “Well, Colin doesn’t go out with us after he announced the marriage. If I want to play with him, I have to pump them for his information actively.”

Abbot smiled and observed Colin's expression quietly.

From the moment Owen entered the room, Colin held Faye's hand under the table.

Faye lowered her eyes, drank tea calmly, and looked the same as usual. It seemed that Colin was smiling. But if someone watched him carefully, he would find that there was faint anger in his eyes.

Abbot looked at Colin's expression and couldn't make the decision for him, coughing lightly, “Colin?”

Colin's heart squeezed and he subconsciously turned to look at Faye.

Aware of Colin's gaze, Faye turned her head to look at him, smiling, “Let's play together.”

“...”
