Chapter 341 Faye and Emmett's Pure Friendship

Faye was having dinner when Emmett called her.

Seeing the caller ID, Faye picked up her phone, swiped to answer the call, and walked to the living room while asking, "Are you home?"

Emmett stretched his arms and replied, "Yep."

"Did you get hurt?" Though Faye was worried, her voice sounded calm.

Emmett smiled nonchalantly and replied, "No big deal. It's not serious."

Faye continued, "Take a picture and send it to me later."

Emmett said teasingly, "Isn't it inappropriate? Though I regard you as my sister, how can you..."

Faye interrupted him in a bland voice, "Cut the crap."

Emmett said teasingly, "I don't care about it. It's just that I'm afraid that Colin may get jealous."

Faye said helplessly, "Rest assured. He won't get jealous."

Holding his phone, Emmett walked to the washroom, turned on the light, and then looked at the mirror to study the bruises on his face. He touched his face gently and then gasped and winced in sharp pain.

Faye pressed her lips when she heard his gasp. She asked, "Did you get hurt?"

Emmett replied, "Nah. I accidentally bumped against the doorframe just now."

Fearing that Faye would find out more if he continued to chat with her, Emmett said with a smile, "Faye, it's late now and I want to sleep. This afternoon's incident made me tired. I feel so sleepy now. Oh, I can't even keep my eyes open."

Faye called out his name, "Emmett Colton."

Emmett said hurriedly, "Let's stop here. I'm so drowsy. Faye, if you're worried about me, we can have a chat tomorrow and you can confirm if I was hurt or not at that time."

Just as Emmett had finished the words, he directly hung up his phone, not giving Faye any chance to say anything.

Hearing the busy tone on her phone, Faye put down her hand and pressed her lips, grasping her phone tightly.
