Chapter 409 I Improved Myself Everyday
When Faye received the text from Lance, she was visiting Abbot in the hospital.
Abbot couldn't move his hand and asked Colin to peel the oranges for him.
Abbot was very demanding. In addition to peeling off the orange, he requested the orange's albedo must also be peeled off completely, and there should be no residue.
When Faye saw Lance's text, her heart skipped a beat. She clicked on their chat box and replied, "Don't act impulsively."
There was no reply from Lance after that. Faye got up, walked to the window, and called Lance. However, there was no answer after three attempts.
Faye frowned and clenched her phone tightly. After thinking for a while, she texted Andy, "Is Lance okay?"
Andy replied quickly, "He is drunk."
Faye responded, "Keep an eye on him. Don't let him act impulsively."
Faye sent her text out but Andy didn't reply immediately this time.
After a while, Andy sent a photo over.
Faye touched the photo on her screen to enlarge it. In that photo, Lance's face was flushed. He was lying on the ground sideways and looked very drunk.
Soon after that, a text from Andy said, "He can't act impulsively. He can't even stand up."
Faye replied, "Um."
After sending the text to Andy, Faye's mind was eased a little. When she turned around, Abbot was bickering with Colin.
Abbot said, "Do you know how to take care of someone correctly? I have told you that I don't eat orange's albedo."
Colin leaned back in his chair lazily and looked at him, "Eat it or leave it."
Abbot glared at him and said, "What's that attitude? Who makes my arm gets injured?"
Colin raised his eyebrows and asked, "Do you want me to write you a thank you letter and send it to your office?"
Abbot squinted at Colin and said, "What's the point of sending that shit?"
Colin sneered, "What do you want me to do then? Do you want me to kneel in front of you?"
Abbot straightened his body which was leaning against the couch and said calmly, "If you want to do it, I will take it."
Colin put up a faint smile and said, "Why didn't Maxwell tear off your mouth?"
Mentioning Maxwell, Abbot suddenly became energetic.
He stepped on his slippers and went straight to the outside of the ward.
Soon after Abbot left the room, he returned to grab a handful of snacks before he turned around and left the room again.
Colin looked at him and teased, "Take it easy, Abbot."
Abbot answered, "I'm taking care of the elders on your behalf."
After Abbot finished speaking, he disappeared without a trace.
After Abbot left, there was only Colin and Faye were left in the room.
Colin got up, walked to Faye, and handed her the peeled oranges.
Faye took it, smiled, and said, "Is Abbot going next door to get Maxwell agitated again?"
Colin leaned on the window which was behind him and said, "I heard that Maxwell is driving crazy by him."
