Chapter 437 Let Go
When Faye walked out of Carlotta's bedroom, she found Colin was on a call before the French window.
He was holding an unlit cigarette in his mouth and the collar of his shirt was unbuttoned. He asked with a spurious smile, "Are you sure?"
When he finished the words, Faye wrapped her arms around his waist.
Colin slightly raised his brows, put his palm on Faye's hand, and patted it. Then he turned around and asked in a low voice, "What's the matter?"
Faye only rested her head on Colin's back quietly.
Colin asked again with a nasal sound.
Faye said in an upset voice, "You may go on. Let me hug you for a while."
Colin said with a chuckle, "Well."
Then he continued the call and said to the person at the other end of the phone, "Ethan, you may go on."
Ethan asked, "Does Faye have any problem?"
Colin replied calmly, "Nothing. She just wants to hug me."
Both Ethan and Faye were rendered speechless.
Not getting any response from Ethan, Colin continued teasingly, "Don't take it to your heart. It's normal for married couples."
Ethan sneered and asked, "Are you humble-bragging?"
Colin asked in a pretended innocent voice, "Am I?"
Ethan was annoyed yet amused. He retorted, "Be confident. Save your question. Of course, you are. And it's apparent."
Colin clicked his tongue and asked, "Are all single old men so sensitive?"
Ethan questioned, "Whom are you alluding to? Abbot?"
Collin said, "I'm recording our call."
Ethan scolded, "You're so nasty."
Eight times out of ten of Colin and Ethan's joking arguments would end in a draw. As for the rest two times, probably it was because one of them had made a mistake.
After joking with Ethan for a while, Colin came to the point with a smile, "Assign some men to investigate that thing in the prison."
Ethan replied, "Okay. I see. I call you to inform you in advance so that you can get mentally prepared."
Colin said, "I'm looking forward to it if he's still alive."
When chatting with Ethan, Colin also paid great attention to Faye's mood.
Feeling that Faye was tightening her hug, he felt so touched.
Ten minutes later, Colin hung up his phone.
Faye withdrew her hands, walked to Colin, and stood by his side.
Colin put his phone into his pocket and asked with a smile, "What did you and aunt talk about?"
Faye answered honestly, "I encouraged her to pursue her own happiness bravely."
Colin's smile widened as he said, "Good job."
Faye looked back at Colin and said with a smile, "Seems like I can let go of some matters."
