Chapter 449 A Little Bit Touched
Rebecca spoke with a serious look.
Abbot did a double-take, then the corners of his mouth twitched.
Rebecca, "Mr. Carter, to tell the truth, I have no money. Or you can take my life."
When Rebecca's words finished, Abbot's face reddened suddenly. He looked beyond her towards the inside of the room. After seeing Faye, he looked unnatural and said, "Got it."
Rebecca was confused for a second, "What did you get?"
Abbot felt a little awkward, "I'll go and get some investment from Colin."
After Abbot finished, he did not wait for Rebecca's answer, turned around and stepped away.
The steps were in a hurry and his arms and legs looked uncoordinated.
Rebecca, "..."
Rebecca watched Abbot knock on the door of Colin's room and enter the room, turned her head and looked at Faye, "Is there a problem with what I said just now?"
Faye drank water calmly, "You can take my life."
Rebecca, "Hmm?"
Faye, "I suggest you think carefully."
Rebecca pondered for a few seconds then understood. The next second she revealed a look as if there was no love in life, "No, I just spoke without thinking..."
Rebecca was unable to defend herself, walking back to Faye.
Faye squeezed the mineral water bottle in her hand, "I believe you."
Rebecca, "What's the use of believing me?"
Faye smiled, "If Abbot asks me, I can explain for you."
After saying that, Faye added, "But he probably won't ask me."
Rebecca, "Faye, you really followed bad examples since you've been together with Colin."
On the other side, after meeting Colin, Abbot sat on the sofa and lit a cigarette silently. After taking several deep puffs, he frowned at Colin and asked, "Colin, tell me how should I express my feeling to Rebecca directly?"
Colin did not smoke and would not smell second-hand smoke firmly. Standing in front of the French windows, he chewed gum and looked at Abbot from afar, "Which kind of your feeling?"
Abbot, "She's been hinting at me more and more obviously lately."
Colin teased, "Be specific."
Abbot, "Just now, I talked to her about the need for additional investment, and guess what she said to me?"
Colin, "What?"
Abbot raised his hand and tugged the tie in front of his neck with slight annoyance, "She said to me 'if you want money, you want life'. Wasn't it clear that she wanted to leave herself as a pledge?"
Colin's thin lips lifted, "The implication was indeed quite obvious."
Hearing what Colin said, Abbot puffed at his cigarette more heavily, "Right? Do you also think she implied it obviously?"
Colin smiled badly, "Do you think there's a possibility that she was just hinting to you that she had no money to invest?"
Abbot shook his head with certainty, "Not very likely."
Colin, "Forget what I said and just be yourself."
