Chapter 504 Be Cornered
It was not going to be a peaceful night.
When Tiffany learned that her subordinates were incompetent, she smashed a tea set in anger.
Tiffany's assistant stood by, trembling. "Ms. Shaw."
Tiffany thundered, "A bunch of asshole. They can't even kill a doctor who can't fight back."
The assistant looked down at the ground and didn't dare to make a sound.
After Alexander ended the call with Faye, he returned to the ward. Alexander dared not close his eyes all night, for fear that someone might break in and assassinate Jake.
The next day.
At nine o'clock in the morning, Faye was sitting by the hospital bed peeling an apple for Colin. At this time, Tiffany phoned Colin.
Faye glanced at the call reminder and said in a low voice, "It's Tiffany."
Colin said, "Don't answer."
Faye responded, "Okay."
The phone was ringing off the hook. As Faye slowly peeled the apple, Colin stared at her with doting eyes.
After Faye finished peeling the apple and the phone rang many times, Colin slowly reached out his hand to answer the phone, "Mom."
Tiffany's voice was urgent on the phone, "Colin, where are you?"
Colin replied, "Hospital. What's up?"
Tiffany paused and asked, "Have the senior staff at the company contacted you personally?"
Colin responded, "Yes, but I turned them down on the grounds that I was in hospital. "
Tiffany gritted her teeth on the other end of the phone. "What did those people say when they came to you?"
Colin replied, "Nothing. Mom, you should know me. I never ask too much about things I don't want to get involved in."
Tiffany said nothing.
After Colin finished speaking, Tiffany was silent for a few minutes. She took a deep breath and said, "Colin, you'd better have nothing to do with this matter."
Colin chuckled and didn't answer. He took the phone away from his ear and directly hung up the phone.
Just then, Colin got a text message from Robert.
Colin lowered his eyes.
Robert, "The police station and the tax bureau are investigating Tiffany at the same time."
Colin smiled scornfully and he replied, "Keep an eye on Tiffany."
Robert, "Leave it with me."
Turning off the phone, Colin leaned forward and took a bite of the apple in Faye's hand.
Faye smiled. "The game has started?"
Colin said, "When I was a child, I always thought it was very boring to watch the cartoon Tom and Jerry. When I grew up, it turned out that I misunderstood it when I was a child. In fact, this cartoon is very interesting."
