Chapter 513 Be Friends
Abbot's tone was calm, as if he was asking Rebecca if she was full just now.
But Rebecca was not a fool. No matter how calm Abbot was, she wouldn't be stupid to think he was also calm in his heart.
Rebecca looked at Abbot and blushed. She swallowed hard, "No."
"Really?" Abbot asked.
Rebecca replied, "Absolutely true."
Abbot stared at her for a while and asked, "Did anyone in your factory ask you to sign the contract again?"
Rebecca raised her head to answer Abbot, but she didn't dare to look into his eyes. "Yes, I've signed it."
Abbot deliberately lowered his head and asked, "Are you satisfied with the price?"
Looking at Abbot's angular face, Rebecca turned her head and said, "Yes."
"It's good that you are satisfied," said Abbot.
Then he added, "We are friends. I won't let you suffer losses."
Abbot sprayed perfume. The smell was very light, but because they were too close, the perfume, mixed with a faint smell of tobacco, came into Rebecca's nose.
She blushed and said, "Thank you, Mr. Carter."
Abbot raised his eyebrow, "Aren't we friends? Why do you still call me Mr. Carter? It's not close at all."
Rebecca looked at her and asked, "Pardon?"
Abbot asked, "How do you get along with Tanner?"
Abbot changed the topic so fast that Rebecca didn't understand what he meant. After a pause, she answered honestly, "I treat him as my buddy."
Abbot nodded and suddenly put his arm around her shoulder. "Like this?"
Rebecca's face turned redder. "Not so intimate. After all, we are the opposite sex, so we have to keep a distance."
However, when Abbot heard this, he hugged her even tighter. "If there are too many rules between friends, we will distance ourselves from each other."
Rebecca was speechless.
She thought, "It's wrong, but I really can't refute him."
