Chapter 553 The Award Ceremony
Abbot would be a perfect boyfriend as long as he could keep his mouth shut up.
Hearing his words, Rebecca looked into his eyes. After a while, she gritted her teeth and said, "You are a stick-in-the-mud."
Abbot said, "A plunge dress revealing your belly button is avant-garde?"
Hearing this, Rebecca threw the suit jacket back to him and said, "Is there anything wrong with your eyes? Have you seen my belly button?"
While speaking, she straightened up and puffed out her chest to let him see more clearly.
Seeing this, Abbot blushed, and then, he stuffed the suit jacket into her arms again and said, "You don't need to wear it! Just use it to cover your chest, OK?"
In public, a little movement would attract attention.
Seeing that Abbot's attitude softened, Rebecca stopped arguing with him, held the suit jacket tightly in her arms, and asked, "Have you spayed perfume on your suit?"
Abbot thought she was deliberately finding a topic to liven up the awkward atmosphere, so he responded in a deep voice, "Yeah."
Rebecca sneered, "Your perfume smells frivolous."
Abbot was speechless, knowing she was trying to retaliate against him instead of easing the embarrassment.
Hearing them arguing in low voices, Faye and Colin couldn't help laughing.
Colin chuckled, "Rebecca is bold today."
Faye replied, "She has paid back all the money and figured out her feelings, so she became bold."
Hearing this, Colin raised his eyebrows slightly and asked, "She is going to date Abbot?"
Faye turned her head to look at Colin and said, "I can't tell you."
Colin teased, "I'm your husband. Why can't you tell me?"
Faye said, "Because I must keep secrets for my best friend."
Colin sneered, "I have sympathy for Abbot. He's better than Rebecca in doing business, but in terms of emotional intelligence..."
Faye smiled, "He won't suffer any loss."
About ten minutes later, the award ceremony of the film festival officially started. As Galen had said before, this year's young director was ingenious. Many processes were arbitrary, not following the previous rules at all.
Young people and laymen did not care about it, but a few older artists with good acting skills could not help whispering to each other.
"It's a mess."
"Be patient. We can do nothing about it, anyway."
"The atmosphere is foul. I heard that the director has just come back from abroad. The entertainment industry is being ruined by these kids."
