Chapter 631 The Battle
When Hugh was talking, he pushed the teacup on the coffee table to Colin.
Colin glanced at the teacup, smiled very lightly, and said, "Hugh, you can cover up so well."
Hugh looked calm, but the fingers on his knees curled slightly, "Mr. Farrell, what do you mean by that?"
Colin said, "I always thought my dad and you are sworn brothers who would have each others' back. I didn't expect..."
Colin chuckled, paused deliberately, and raised his eyes to look at Hugh.
Hugh felt uneasy with the glaring from Colin. He reached for his teacup, took a sip, and laughed awkwardly, "Mr. Farrell, did you misunderstand something?"
Colin stopped smiling and said, "Well, I do hope that I misunderstand it."
Hugh was speechless.
After Colin finished his words, the atmosphere in the living room fell into dead air.
Under Colin's gaze, Hugh's hand trembled involuntarily while holding the teacup.
Seeing that, Colin smiled suddenly and said, "Hugh, it isn't easy for you to become who you are now. Why do you choose to be manipulated by others again?"
Hugh looked tense and didn't say a word.
Colin chuckled lightly and didn't speak anymore. He stood up and walked away.
As soon as Colin left, Hugh slid off the couch, and the tea in his hand spilled all over his body.
Mrs. Langford came down from the second floor when she heard the noise and hurriedly reached out to help him up, "What's wrong with you?"
Hugh leaned against the couch with a pale face and said, "Call...Call Lance."
Mrs. Langford was stunned and asked, "Why do you want to call Lance for nothing?"
Hugh was furious and said, "If I ask you to make the call, just do it. Stop talking nonsense!"
At the same time, Colin walked out of the Langfords' villa. He got into Ethan's car passenger seat and started to smoke.
Ethan threw a file into his arms.
Colin raised his eyebrows lightly and asked, "What is this?"
Ethan replied, "Information about Hugh."
Colin teased, "That's so fast?"
