In the evening, when Benjamin and Abbot returned, Camila and Rebecca were cooking in the kitchen.

Camila didn't personally cook a table of dishes for many years. She was busy but delighted to see this warm scene.

Benjamin and Abbot were talking about the company in the living room with tired expressions on their faces.

Camila called Benjamin to help her in the kitchen. Then she gave Rebecca a plate of fruit and said, "Go to be with Abbot. I need to be with my husband."

Camila could not refuse.

Rebecca gripped the plate tightly and walked up to Abbot.

Abbot was sending messages, his head bowed. The collar of his shirt was slightly open.

Rebecca glanced at Abbot and silently pushed the fruit on the table towards him.

Rebecca interrupted him, "Abbot!"

Abbot was silent.

Rebecca said, "Do you think I would leave because of poverty?"

Abbot's hand froze and he looked at Rebecca.

Rebecca's eyes turned red. "Why are you looking at me? I said I wouldn't break up with you."

Abbot's heart was touched. "You don't like money anymore?"

Rebecca clenched her hand. "I like it, but..."

Rebecca calmed herself down and continued, "But it has nothing to do with being with you."

Abbot said, "I'm not rich now."

Rebecca said, "We can earn money together. If we work hard, we won't starve."

Rebecca took out a bank card and stuffed it into Abbot's hand. "I sold my company. Here are 25 million dollars. Take it. I'll pay off the debt with you."

Abbot gazed at Rebecca's resolute expression and suddenly understood Colin's attachment to Faye.

Afraid that Abbot would return the bank card, Rebecca excuse herself to walk away.

After dinner, Benjamin and Camila tidied up the table. Rebecca received a call from Cecilia.

Cecilia sounded unhappy. "Why don't you go home yet?"

Rebecca stood at the window, hesitating, "I won't go back tonight."

Cecilia asked, "Where are you staying tonight?"

Rebecca said, "My apartment."

Upon hearing Rebecca's guilty tone, Cecilia snorted coldly, "Come on, what did you do behind my back?"

Looking at her reflection in the glass, Rebecca pressed her head against the glass and said, "Mom, I brought Abbot's parents to my apartment."

Cecilia remained silent and then hung up the phone without speaking.

Listening to the beep sound, Rebecca let out a long sigh.

A few minutes later, Rebecca's phone vibrated.

It was a message from Cecilia. "You and Abbot live separately at night. Let him sleep on the sofa. Or his parents will look down upon you."
