Chapter 783 Let's Go Together
Half an hour later, Robert and Aniston left the police station.
When they went to the door, they saw William waiting there.
Seeing them, William walked toward them immediately and asked, "How's it going? Are you injured?"
Aniston replied, "No."
William frowned, looked Aniston up and down to check whether she was injured, and finally felt reassured. Then he calmed down and turned his head to talk to Robert, "Robert, are you okay?"
Robert reached into his pocket to take out a cigarette and replied in a deep voice, "No."
"Well. Well. I have asked Aniston to be more careful when going out alone. What...?"
Before William finished speaking, he saw Robert's bloodied hand holding a cigarette.
William paused and turned his head to look at Aniston.
The two looked at each other, and William questioned Aniston with a look. Was he injured or not?
Aniston also saw the blood on Robert's hands. She frowned and said, "Get in the car first."
William hurriedly said, "Yes, get in the car first."
William opened the door in front of the car. Robert glanced at the door and said to William, "William, please take Aniston back. I will take a taxi by myself."
Hearing that, William took a look at Aniston, coughed, and said, "It's too late to take a taxi. Let's go together."
"It's okay."
William gave Aniston a wink with an embarrassed expression on his face.
"Get in the car. I have something to tell you." After Aniston finished speaking, she got into the car first.
Since Aniston had said that, William was sure that Robert would get in the car.
Then, the man who just said he wanted to take a taxi by himself consciously followed Aniston to sit in the back of the car.
After a while, the car started moving on the road.
Aniston asked, "Was your hand injured?"
Robert looked down at his hand and said carelessly, "Just skin trauma."
"If you encounter such a thing again in the future, don't be impulsive. Just report it to the police and wait for the police to handle it..."
As Aniston spoke, Robert interrupted, "Aniston."
Aniston said, "What?"
"My hand hurts."
Aniston was lost for words for a while.
Sitting in the passenger seat, William was drinking water. Hearing Robert's words, he choked and coughed violently.
Seeing this, Jasper, who was driving, quickly took a tissue and handed it to William.
William took the tissue and said vaguely while coughing, "Recently, the night view of Cocanel is very, very beautiful..."
Jasper muttered, "What does this have to do with you choking on water?"
William thought, "Who would have thought that Robert, a man has a high status in the company, could say such words to gain sympathy from his love?"
After William finished speaking, the car fell into an eerie silence.
About seven or eight seconds later, Aniston said gently, "Did you hurt your bones? Do you need to go to the hospital?"
Robert lowered his eyes and moved his knuckles. "It seems my bones are okay."
"William, there is a drugstore in front. Please help me buy some medicine there."
William replied, "Okay."
A few minutes later, the car stopped in front of the drugstore, and William got out of the car to buy medicine and took Jasper along.
When only Aniston and Robert were left in the car, Aniston took a deep breath and said, "Robert, I think we need to talk."
Robert said, "What do you want to talk about? Tell me to stay away from you?"
Robert's words were blunt. Aniston couldn't help frowning upon hearing that.
The two looked at each other, and Robert chuckled lightly. He lowered his head and glanced at his blood-stained hand, clenched his fists, and said, "What do you want to talk about? Just talk."
Aniston was speechless.
After a while, Aniston adjusted her mood and said, "Robert, there are many good girls. With your current wealth and background, you can find a girl much better than me."
Aniston continued, "A romantic relationship needs the willingness of both parties."
Robert nodded as if he had understood Aniston's words. Then he asked, "You don't like me at all, do you? Totally not?"
Aniston was inexplicably sad but she still said, "No... I don't like you."
Robert pursed his lips lightly and smiled self-deprecatingly. "Okay, I see."
Hearing Robert's words, Aniston let out a sigh of relief, then she changed the topic and said, "For the variety show if you don't want to participate in its filming..."
Robert interrupted in a deep voice, "Don't affect the work because of personal feelings."
After speaking, Robert stretched out his hand and pushed open the door to get out of the car.
