There were surveillance cameras around the house that had recorded everything. Once Skylar returned, she could check the surveillance footage and see exactly what happened.
"There's no need for you to make this visit. What's taken by deceit is never truly yours. Go home and give that some thought. Veronica, please show her out," Gloria added.
She didn't want to waste any more time arguing with Rosa, so she raised her hand, signaling Veronica to see her out.
Veronica glanced at Rosa with a sly smile. She couldn't stand women like Rosa—especially not one scheming to cling to Joe.
"Right this way, Ms. Reese. Mrs. Martin Senior needs her rest, so there's no more time to listen to your made-up stories."
Rosa's face darkened at this, her expression shifting from pale to flushed. Biting her lip, she glared at Veronica and said, "Since you're just a hired help here, you should do your job and advise them properly. The dead can't come back to life. He has been gone for three years, so let him rest in peace and stop bothering the innocent."
"I forgot to mention, Ms. Reese, that we have security guards here. If you keep talking nonsense, they'll come in and escort you out. There are surveillance cameras all around this place, and if you get caught on tape, you could become quite famous in Murida.
"Also, it's perfectly reasonable for Ms. Sullivan to see Mr. Martin. The one who's acting like a third wheel and trying to take someone else's man is you," Veronica replied with a sneer, her tone firm.
People like Rosa, who lacked self-awareness, were truly annoying. She had absolutely no sense of boundaries.
Rosa's face flushed with embarrassment, and she found herself at a loss for words. Since reason didn't work, she wouldn't hold back any longer.
"Fine, then I'll report this to the police. When the news gets out, it won't look good for you. I don't want anyone eyeing my fiancé, now or ever." With that, Rosa stormed out of the villa.
As Rosa stepped outside, she immediately noticed the security guards. They were glaring at her with fierce expressions. She clenched her jaw in frustration.
Dealing with Skylar was already a headache, but meeting Gloria today was even more of a nuisance. Just in the short time it took to say a few words, Gloria had shot her countless cold glances.
She would make them regret this. She could say all the right things about how she would never have to worry about money for the rest of her life. But that wasn't her goal.
What she wanted was for her future generations to be secure, and to hold the respected title of "Mrs. Sowle", one that would command admiration and envy.
No one could take what was hers. On her way back, she made a call. "Find out where Skylar went today and which hospital Mrs. Martin Senior is at for her checkup."
