Rosa immediately looked towards the door. "Ned, is that you? Are you back?"
The person at the door turned to Rosa upon hearing her question. "Ms. Reese, I'm not Mr. Sowle. I'm here to pick up Mr. Sowle's clothes. He's been very busy these days and is about to leave on a business trip."
Rosa was taken aback. "A business trip?"
"Yes."
"Where is he going? We haven't resolved our issues yet. How can he just leave?" Rosa was solely focused on herself.
If Joe left, it would likely be days before she saw him again.
Calvin pondered how much things could change in just a few days. He was somewhat speechless. The company was in a critical period, yet Rosa still didn't seem to grasp the urgency of the situation.
However, Joe had said there was no need to keep this from her. If she asked, he should answer directly. "He's going to Jipsburg. The group there is trying to acquire our company."
"Jipsburg?" Upon hearing the name, Rosa felt a jolt of anxiety.
She had a serious psychological aversion to that place. Calvin nodded before quickly starting to gather Joe's clothes.
There was no need to pack too much. They could buy whatever they needed once they arrived.
"Has Ned mentioned when he'll be back? We can't postpone our marriage any further. Maybe if we get married now, all the company's problems will be resolved."
Rosa had little understanding of the company's operations and had not considered working there in the past three years.
All she wanted was to become a wealthy socialite. She would go for beauty treatments, meet for tea, or do some light exercise every day.
Calvin looked at Rosa with a complex expression. "Ms. Reese, I know I shouldn't say too much, but you might want to pay more attention to the news."
