There wasn't a trace of sadness in Natalie's voice. Skylar shifted her gaze back to Natalie. "Have you two not been in touch lately?"

"We broke up. We're both doing fine," Natalie replied, her gaze lingering on the screen for a moment longer.

"Quietly accomplishing big things, huh?" Skylar couldn't help but admire Natalie even more.

She suddenly realized how well Natalie was healing from her heartbreak—by focusing on her career. That was a smart way to go about it.

Natalie beamed with pride. "That's right! Now, my employees call me 'Ms. Jakeman'. I'm a boss now, with almost 50 or 60 people working under me. And the team keeps growing."
