Sheldon quickly replied, "His Excellency and Yesseca are doing well."
"Are you sure?" Preslie raised her voice.
Sheldon's heart skipped a beat.
Were they in trouble?
Otherwise, why would Preslie come and ask about this?
But he had not heard anything about His Excellency and Yesseca not getting along well.
Sheldon said, "I have been busy with work, so I haven't asked His Excellency how things are with Yesseca. He did not say anything either, but I think it should be fine."
Preslie understood that Sheldon did not know anything about this.
She could not hide how anxious she was. "Yesseca is no longer at Quartley Palace. A soldier told me that she has been expelled from Nashaland."
"What?" Sheldon's face was full of disbelief.
A car was driving fast towards Agaphen City.
The driver was Sheldon and the passenger was Preslie.
Looking at Preslie's anxious expression, Sheldon comforted her and said, "You might have heard wrong. Yesseca might have just left Quartley Palace briefly and returned to Agaphen City. I don't believe that she has been expelled from Nashaland."
After all, as Tremaine's assistant, Sheldon knew how much Tremaine loved Yesseca.
Therefore, he did not believe that Tremaine would expel Yesseca from Nashaland.
He was more inclined to think that Preslie had misunderstood.
Preslie bit her lip.
She did not mishear it. She was clear about it.
The soldier meant that Yesseca had been expelled from Nashaland.
Hesitating for a moment, Preslie said, "The soldier told me that a man came to look for Yesseca at Quartley Palace. This angered His Excellency, that was why he expelled her."
Sheldon was silent.
A man came to look for Yesseca and that was why Tremaine expelled her?
Sheldon could only think of one possibility.
He carefully asked, "Did Yesseca cheat on His Excellency?"
Preslie shook her head immediately. "It's impossible. I've known Yesseca for so long. There is no way that she would do something like that! It must be a misunderstanding!"
Sheldon did not say anything.
Whether it was a misunderstanding or not, they could only wait until they met Yesseca.
The car finally entered Agaphen City. Soon, it arrived at the place where Yesseca lived.
Sheldon asked Preslie, "Are you sure that she lives here?"
Preslie said while undoing her seatbelt, "I'm no sure. I have not been able to contact Yesseca, but I think that she must be here since she came back to Agaphen City."
Sheldon wanted to go together with Preslie, but he decided against it.
He told Preslie, "I won't go with you. Have a good chat with her, I will wait for you here."
Preslie nodded.
She said, "Thank you, Mr. Hawls."
Sheldon did not think and said, "With our relationship, there is nothing to thank me for."
Preslie said nothing.
She was stunned.
"Our relationship?" she thought.
What was their relationship?
Her heart began beating rapidly.
Only after Sheldon had finished speaking did he realize what he had said.
He was afraid that Preslie might misunderstand him, so he immediately added, "I mean, we are colleagues. There's nothing to thank me for."
"Oh, I see."
