Preslie looked at the time. It was almost time for the workers in President's office to get off work.
If Tremaine didn't show up, she would have waited for nothing. She would probably have to wait until tomorrow to see him.
Preslie couldn't help but feel anxious.
Although it wasn't impossible to wait till tomorrow, another day of delay would make Yesseca suffer for another day.
Although Yesseca said it was fine, how could she not know? Both of them loved each other so deeply. If they were separated like this, wouldn't they suffer every second?
In the end, Preslie gritted her teeth.
She wanted to throw caution to the wind for Yesseca's sake!
She called Sheldon.
Sheldon definitely knew where Tremaine was!
The phone rang.
Sheldon saw the call from Preslie while he was driving.
His face turned red at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Tremaine opened his eyes, disturbed by the sound of the ringing call.
He saw Sheldon's face turn red.
Tremaine frowned.
The phone rang once, but Sheldon did not answer.
Soon the phone rang again.
Sheldon was a little hesitant.
Tremaine's deep voice came from behind. "Why don't you answer the phone?"
Sheldon didn't answer.
He was so embarrassed that he had forgotten that Tremaine was still in the car.
"I, I'll answer it right away." Sheldon immediately picked up the phone.
Preslie's voice rang out.
As Sheldon's phone was on speaker mode, the whole car was filled with Preslie's voice.
"Mr. Hawls, do you know where Mr. Tremaine is?" Preslie asked.
Sheldon was suddenly speechless.
Things were just really not going his way.
He subconsciously looked back at Tremaine and found that his eyes were dark, as if he had not heard what Preslie said.
Sheldon could only say, "He is in my car."
Preslie immediately said, "Where are you now? I want to see Tremaine now."
Sheldon looked back at Tremaine again.
Tremaine still had no reaction.
Sheldon had to lower his voice and said, "Sir, Preslie would like to meet you."
Tremaine spat out, "No."
Then he looked out of the window. His eyes were so deep that no one could tell what he was thinking.
"Preslie, he's busy now. He can't meet you."
"No, Mr. Hawls, I must see him. Both you and him."
"Beep, beep, beep!"
Before Preslie could finish talking, Sheldon hung up.
Sheldon knew that Preslie had always been straightforward and he was worried that she would began blabbering after hearing that Tremaine refused to meet her.
It didn't matter if he heard it, but it would be bad if Tremaine heard it.
Therefore, it was the best to directly hang up the
phone.
Worried that Preslie would called again, Sheldon turned off his phone.
When the car was about to reach the President's office, Tremaine suddenly said, "Let's go to Quartley palace."
There was a flash of surprise in Sheldon's eyes.
