"That's indeed a good thing." Qiana seemed to be happy because of Madam Quartley.
"By the way." Madam Quartley's face suddenly became serious. "Don't tell Yuliana about this. At least, don't tell her before the baby is born."
Qiana nodded in response, but she added, "But I can't hide it from Yuliana for the rest of my life."
Madam Quartley said, "Let's think about it when the child is born."
Qiana knew what Madam Quartley was worried about, but she pretended not to understand.
"Should we tell Zorion?" Qiana asked, "To cheer him up?"
Madam Quartley shook her head, saying, "Zorion is a fool. If he knows, the whole world will know too. Don't tell him for the time being."
"Okay." Qiana agreed. In her mind, however, she was already plotting ways to make Yuliana find out about it.
Ruth was placed in a villa near Quartley palace.
Madam Quartley had specially arranged bodyguards to keep watch on her 24 hours every
day.
In the villa, food and clothing were all arranged for Ruth as well as seven or eight servants attending to her.
Although Madam Quartley did not say anything, Ruth understood the situation. Madam Quartley knew that the baby in her stomach belonged to Zorion.
She was afraid that the child would not grow up with her.
Ruth's tears fell like rain.
She initially wanted to raise the child and be there for them when they grew up, but now, that seemed impossible.
Ruth could only comfort herself. If this child stayed as part of the Quartley family, he would have a better quality of upbringing.
And now that Madam Quartley knew about the existence of this child, she would protect it. Yuliana would not be able to do anything to this child even if she wanted to.
Although Ruth had many thoughts, she knew that it was not good for the baby if pregnant women thought too much. She could only suppress her thoughts and live in this villa for the time being.
Zorion had been wanting Ruth to return to Quartley palace ever since he heard from Qiana about Ruth's living conditions.
Although his idea was rejected by Madam Quartley on the night he brought it up, Zorion's determination did not fade away. Instead, it increased tenfold.
One day, he decided to talk to Qiana.
Although he wasn't that bright, he knew that Madam Quartley liked Qiana very much. He wanted Qiana to speak up for him.
"Qiana, can you tell my grandmother to let Ruth come back? The place Ruth is living in is so horrible, she can't live in such a place." Zorion's face turned red. "Can you tell my grandmother that Ruth isn't a b*tch? If she doesn't believe you, you can ask her to see if Ruth has a tail like one."
Qiana was speechless.
They usually seemed normal when they spoke, but sometimes, the things a fool said could be rather hilarious.
Qiana said, "I also want to help you, but it's useless telling Madam Quartley. I brought it up in front of her but it changed nothing."
Zorion looked very upset.
Qiana stepped forward and said, "But I have something to tell you. Maybe I can help you with Ruth's return, but you have to promise that you won't tell anyone, or I will be put in a difficult situation."
Zorion responded immediately, "Qiana, I promise not to tell anyone."
"Swear on it."
Zorion raised his hand to the side of his face to signify his end of the deal.
Qiana was relieved.
