Tremaine's eyes flashed with relief. "As long as she's happy."
After that, he turned around.
He was about to leave.
This time, they took a car back to Nashaland.
On the way, Tremaine spoke, "Sheldon, I have thought of something."
Sheldon immediately said solemnly, "Mr. Tremaine, please go ahead."
Tremaine's lashes trembled as he answered, "I have thought of letting Yesseca go. She looks so happy now and all she feels is anger when she sees me. If I let go, she will be happy forever."
Sheldon paused.
He was at a loss as to how to answer Tremaine.
As if he didn't want to hear Sheldon's answer, Tremaine quickly added, "But I told you I would get her back."
"I believe her happiness is only temporary and that she is lying to herself. In fact, she still loves me and I am the only one who could make her happy."
Sheldon remained silent.
Tremaine was still as confident as ever.
But could he win Yesseca's heart?
Sheldon was not sure about that.
No matter how hard he and Tremaine tried to persuade Preslie, Preslie wouldn't budge...and she was their best chance. She was Yesseca's best friend and it must be because she knew how Yesseca felt.
Yesseca must be reluctant to see Tremaine now, which explained why Preslie didn't want to help.
It was hard to tell if the two still had a chance.
The road was filled with obstacles.
With that, Sheldon couldn't help sighing in his heart.
Sheldon winded down the window to let in some fresh air while at a red light. Perhaps he was just too upset by the whole situation.
Just as he was doing so, he caught sight of a car from the opposite direction.
He saw three people in that car, minus the driver.
