After telling him Rorita's response, Hogam immediately said, "Mr. President, your marriage to the daughter of the Cowell family should be arranged right away. Let's get your wedding sorted out."
Hogan was in a great rush as he was worried something might happen if he hesitated.
He had been mulling over ways to convince Tremaine to agree to this, but was again surprised at how quickly Tremaine had agreed.
Hogan was stunned once again.
Is the president really agreeing to this so quickly?
Tremaine looked tired. He then said, "I'll leave everything to you. Just let me know when the date of our marriage is."
Hogan was speechless.
He said, "But Mr. Tremaine. This is your wedding. I'm afraid if I arrange everything by myself, it will not be to your liking."
"I'm fine with anything." Tremaine added, "There's no need to consult about anything. Just have it arranged."
Hogan's heart skipped a beat.
He then asked cautiously, "Mr. Tremaine, will you need to spend some more time with the daughter of the Cowell family first? Perhaps to form a more solid relationship with her beforehand?"
"No need. I'm too busy with work," Tremaine replied.
"Perhaps she might want to talk to you about the wedding. She might have some preferences that she would like to discuss with you."
"She can tell all of that to you." Tremaine glanced at Hogan. "I'm too busy with work, I don't have much time to spare. You can arrange for everything. Just let me know when the date is."
Hogan was quiet.
He was certain.
Tremaine had no feelings for Rorita.
Agreeing to marry Rorita was just a routine for him, like signing off another document.
Tremaine just wanted to get this over with, which was in it's own way, a blessing.
It was already a blessing that he agreed to marry another woman.
As for whether he had any feelings for Rorita, Hogan wasn't concerned with that at all.
Three days soon passed.
News of the wedding traveled fast.
The wedding of Tremaine, the president of Nashaland to Rorita, the daughter of a high-ranking minister was going to take place.
Everyone from officials to the people on the street knew!
For a time, all of Nashaland erupted.
Several heated discussions were held among the masses.
"Didn't the president say he was going to marry that commoner girl? Why is he now marrying the daughter of some high-ranking official?!"
"Yeah, I remember he said he wouldn't hesitate to go against all of Nashaland to be with her! But now that's changed!"
"I really thought that Nashaland was going to be the first country in the world to have a commoner as a first lady!"
"So, this is going to be a marriage among elites. Even if the president had once gone against all of Nashaland for that commoner girl, it makes no difference! The president is still going to marry the daughter of a rich and powerful man!"
"I still remember what the president said that time. I was very touched. Love is love, without any conditions. Even nobles can be with civilians, but why isn't he doing that now?" "The president had once given me hope, but that's all gone now." "Truth is, the president is making the right call here. He's the president! He can't marry a commoner."
At the same time, everyone in the Quartley Palace was hotly discussing the news as well.
"Oh my god, the president is going to marry the youngest daughter of the Cowell family! This is so sudden! I haven't even heard anything about this until now!"
"That's right! Last time, the president had gone unconscious out of worry for Miss Cowell! But now he's already agreed to marry someone else!"
"I thought the president would defend Miss Cowell for the rest of your life. I didn't expect him to marry someone else so soon. They even have the same surname!"
"It's good that he wants to marry someone else! He can't stay with Miss Cowell forever! All of Nashaland would be against them!"
