It was customary of all members for the Welmert family to attend the funeral when a relative passed away.
Ruth's cousin also told her before hanging up, "We're no longer in Nashaland. We moved to Agaphen City last year."
"Alright, I'll come over and give my respects for the last time." Ruth replied.
After she hung up the phone, Ruth told the servants that she had to attend her relatives' funeral the following morning.
She wasn't willing to leave her baby for even a second, but her relative had passed away.
The servant informed Madam Quartley about this and agreed to her request.
Besides, Ruth wasn't taking the baby with her. Madam Quartley had no issue with it.
After reporting this to Madam Quartley, Ruth made preparations to rush off to Agaphen City the next morning.
As the child got older, it didn't need to be breast fed as often any more.
It could go through several hours without making
a fuss.
She would be back later that afternoon after giving the baby a morning feeding.
But...
As she thought about going to Agaphen City, she suddenly thought of Yesseca.
She remembered that Yesseca was from Agaphen City.
She suddenly had an idea.
She might run into Yesseca when she went to attend her funeral.
Ruth laughed bitterly.
That was such a childish thought.
Agaphen City was such a large city, it would be impossible for her to run into Yesseca.
The odds of them running into each other was nearly impossible.
Not only was it impossible to bump into her in Agaphen City, it was likely that they would never see each other again.
Memories from the past flooded Ruth's mind.
She thought back on the times where she and Yesseca were still in the Quartley Palace.
Yesseca was a very kind woman.
She had saved her and gave her the confidence to go on.
