"Stay, and never go back to that place that hurt you the most. When you were young, you wanted to escape, didn't you?" Athena's tone was gentle and persuasive.
"But..."
Athena interrupted, "Archer is my son's savior. I'm not unreasonable for helping you."
As she spoke, she took a house plan from her bag and handed it to Edith.
"This community is not in a bustling area, but there are subway and bus stations at the community entrance. There is also a large supermarket within five minutes' walk, and a wet market nearby."
Edith took the housing plan. "Mrs. Crawford, I don't understand."
"I bought a small three-bedroom apartment in your name in this community."
Edith exclaimed, "Oh my goodness! No, you can't do this. We can rent a house..."
"But I've already bought it, and it can't be refunded. Besides, the house is not a gift for you, I will keep accounts. When Archer and Poppy grow up and can earn money, they have to pay me back," Athena said.
"This is not a good idea..." Edith looked ashamed.
"It's all for your child," Athena said gently.
Hearing that, Edith had no choice but cried and nodded. "Thank you, Mrs. Crawford. Thank you very much."
"All the furniture and home appliances are complete in the house. You can choose a day and move in. You have endured for so many years. Now the children have grown up, good days are coming. You have to take care of yourself," Athena said softly.
"Um!" As she sobbed, Edith nodded.
