When they arrived at Brian's ward, Caspian heard cries of misery.
The guide's face stiffened, and he smiled awkwardly at Caspian before hurrying toward the ward.
By the time Caspian arrived, the nurse had just pulled up his pants.
Brian was lying on the hospital bed, covered with a blanket.
"He had wet himself. You know how mentally ill patients tend to do that," the nurse said in all seriousness. "I was about to clean him up!"
Brian glanced to the side and saw Caspian standing at the door.
Immediately, he started wailing. "Son, my son! You've finally come to save your father! This bastard, he..."
Caspian interrupted him mercilessly before he could finish. "Whatever he did to you, you deserved it."
Brian was taken aback. Even the nurse was stunned, thinking, "Wasn't this man his son?"
"Don't worry about me." Caspian looked at the nurse. "He had done worse things to others."
The nurse smiled, his nervousness dissipating completely. "Understood!"
"Caspian, I'm your biological father!" Brian's voice strained.
Caspian dragged a stool and sat across from Brian. "Thank goodness that you are my biological father. That's why I have the authority to sign my name on all the documents that will keep you locked up here."
Brian was stunned.
He had thought that once his mental evaluation indicated that he was normal, he could leave that place.
But from Caspian's words, it seemed like he was planning to keep him here for a lifetime.
"You are now an incapacitated person, and I am your legal guardian. It's up to me if you get to leave this place." Caspian made things clear.
"Caspian, you can't do this! You can't!"
"When I was a child, my mother loved me very much," Caspian looked at him with endless despair in his eyes. "But when she died, she hated me so much. Say, now that I'm punishing you for her, would she still hate me?"
