Chapter 110 Her Lunch May Be Drugged
“What you
did has humiliated me.” Heather cut straight to the point. “How could you drag her away in front of so many people? Do you know what your relatives said? I feel so embarrassed.‘
“You shouldn’t say it was her negligence in front of so many people,” Byron straightened his cuffs and said calmly.
Heather was stunned.
“I did believe it was her negligence. Who would have thought that someone would take advantage of Mrs. Alivia Crawford? What’s more, things are still unfolding. It’s hard to say whether there is such a thing.”
“In short, don’t say anything about Athena. There’s no need for that. She’s capable and can solve most problems by herself. If she can’t, I am behind her. You don’t have to worry about her.”
Byron said Athena was capable.
He meant it.
“Okay, I have been nosy.”
With that, Heather turned and left in sorrow.
Byron didn’t chase after her, but walked in the opposite direction to Athena.
Outside Alivia’s ward.
The members of the Crawford family members sat in twos and threes.
Seeing Athena, they rolled their eyes or sneered.
“Miss Newton…”
The nurse looked at Athena in horror.
Athena did take the blame for her.
The nurse ate something wrong at noon.
Therefore, she had diarrhea all afternoon.
Even if Athena left, someone else would be by Alivia’s side.
Athena shook her head.
It was weirdly coincidental.
The nurse’s diarrhea was just a part of it.
“Quinton.”
Athena looked at one of Byron’s bodyguards.
“Miss Newton,” Quinton responded. He was much more respectful than others in the Crawford family.
Quinton had worked for Byron for a long time.
Everyone knew Athena well.
She never forgot them when preparing holiday gifts.
And her gifts were also what everyone needed.
It showed that Athena cared about everyone.
Therefore, Quinton, Liam, and other bodyguards respected Athena very much.
“Please have someone take her for an examination. I suspect that someone drugged her lunch,” Athena said calmly.
“What?” the nurse was surprised.
The Crawford family looked puzzled.
“Athena, what are you doing?” Karen asked impatiently.
Athena ignored them.
She explained to the terrified nurse, “It should just be the drug that makes you have diarrhea. Have an examination. Then, you don’t need to be worried anymore.”
“Did you mean my lunch?” the nurse asked timidly.
“Did you have diarrhea this morning?” Athena asked.
