After finishing these things, Athena went home.
It happened to be dinner time.
Athena didn't go to Byron's car, and she drove back by herself.
When she arrived, Aiden and Mia had already been home.
Byron leaned against the car door, waiting for her.
She parked the car, and he went over to help her open the car door.
"I heard Jacob say that you scared that naughty kid to tears before you left, right?" Byron asked.
"It's because he is psychologically vulnerable. I just talked some sense into him," Athena replied, "Is Mia still crying?"
"Yes, she keeps crying..." Byron said with a distressed look on his face, "Honey, about what happened today..."
"I know. You must think that she did nothing wrong by responding in kind," Athena looked at Byron and said.
This was his usual way of doing things.
Byron didn't say anything, which was his default.
After watching the surveillance video of that naughty kid bully Mia, he wanted to hit that kid.
"She's still too young now, and it's time to develop the fundamental values. She uses violence to solve problems, and you all praise her for doing the right thing. What if she gets into a fight with other kids next time when it's not because of Aiden?" Athena asked in a deep voice.
Small vices, when indulged, could become infinitely larger disasters.
"I got it." Seeing Athena was really angry, Byron hurried to admit his mistake.
"Let's go in and have dinner," Athena responded.
Then Byron took her hand and walked into the house.
Athena did what she had said.
For the next two days, she didn't talk to Mia until the evening of the third day.
Mia came back from school, and she took the initiative to come to Athena.
