Paul frowned.
The director's expression also changed.
"They are dead. You're welcome!" Paul tugged on the strap of his schoolbag, turned around, and left.
"Paul!" The director shouted.
The boy never looked back.
Evie was a little confused.
She peeked at Aron.
"It's okay. We can ask his teacher," Aron said gently.
The director looked embarrassed. "Well... both his parents have passed away."
Evie was taken aback. "Then who else is his family?"
"No one..."
"No one?" Evie was shocked.
"Almost, he used to have a small house nearby, but I heard that his aunt's family took it up..." The director hesitated.
He knew Mia's parents.
It would be great if Mia's parents could help Paul.
"I got it..." Evie frowned. "No wonder he looks like that. How can one focus on study in such a condition..."
"Ah?" The director was stunned, then shook his head and said, "He's a straight-A student, ranked first in grade!"
"Ah?"
To be honest, Evie didn't mean to judge. But he brought a slingshot to school and rolled his eyes at the director, which was very misleading!
"Since he has no relatives now, please allow us to do something to help. If anything happens to this child in the future, be sure to contact us, director."
"Okey, no problem!"
No one had expected Paul to find a helper through a slingshot!
However, slingshot was still not allowed to be brought to school.
It was used for a good deed today.
Who knew if it would be used against his classmates tomorrow?
