Athena did not refuse.
She said, "If you still feel bad when you get there, I will take you away immediately."
"Okay." Byron nodded.
His gaze swept across the words "Lauries Mansion" outside the window.
Then there was that woman who couldn't be seen clearly, wearing a bright dress, teasing him in his mind.
It was her home...
After a while.
Athena brought Byron back to the small apartment.
Byron did not feel as strongly uncomfortable as when he came yesterday.
He let go of Athena's hand, walked into the bedroom alone, looked around, and then came out again. His eyes fell on the door of the study.
The pain in his heart was gradually intensifying.
Seeing this, Athena took his hand and sat back on the sofa. "I didn't intend to hide these things from you, but because you lost your memory, what happened between us is complicated."
She was searching for the right words.
"It's cruel and hurtful, right?" Byron asked.
Athena sighed and nodded. "But after ten years of fighting, we understood each other's feelings, so we made up long ago. Before your accident, we had a great life together."
"Do we really make up?" Byron looked at Athena, the pain in his eyes flooded into a sea. "But why did I wake up subconsciously believing that you hate me and would abandon me?"
His tone was a little choked up.
Athena's heart was throbbing with pain.
