Chapter 1633 Impossible
It wasn't like this when Sally quarreled with Gideon before.
She would smash things and get hysterical.
She wouldn't be as calm as she was now.
"I have forgiven you," Sally replied calmly.
"Then why do you marry someone else?" Gideon asked in great pain. He felt as if his heart was about to be torn apart.
Sally had never seen Gideon like this.
The last bit of love she had for him made her feel distressed.
"I forgive you, and I don't love you anymore," Sally continued.
If she still loved Gideon, how could she forgive him for hurting and not trusting her?
Gideon was stunned.
"Don't do this... Sally, please. I have been in love with you for sixteen years, but you left me. What shall I do in the future? I... I can't live on!"
Gideon couldn't control himself anymore and wept bitterly.
Sally lowered her eyes.
It turned out that letting Gideon cry bitterly in front of her would not make her feel relieved and comfortable.
"Gideon, you are a good man, but we don't match each other. Elijah treats me well. I am happy to be with him every day, without any burden or pressure. This is the life I want. I believe... you will soon meet a girl who will make you happy every day and will be recognized by your elders. That's it. Don't pester me. It's good for both of us."
"I can't do it!" Gideon was heartbroken. "Let's try again, okay?"
He looked at Sally imploringly.
Sally shook her head without hesitation. "I don't want to."
Gideon felt as if he was about to suffocate in pain.
"This is an invitation for you. If you want to give me and Elijah your best wishes, you can come." Sally took out the invitation and pushed it to Gideon.
On her ring finger was a simple old ring. It was very beautiful.
It fitted her perfectly.
