Chapter 1897 Weird Eyes
On the fourth day after Sally and Elijah left the monastery, everything was as usual.
Micah finished his morning classes and went to the dining hall to have breakfast. There were pancakes in the dining hall that day.
That day, Brett cooked well, and the pancakes were especially delicious.
Sitting across from Nigel, Micah was eating while speaking.
"Mrs. Patterson is really unlucky. Every time she came here, Father Brett was in a bad mood, and she couldn't eat such delicious pancakes."
Nigel laughed. "They want to adopt you, but you refused. Now that they are gone, you miss them all day long. I don't know what you want."
"Of course, I want to be a monk," Micah muttered and stopped talking to Nigel.
He packed up his plate and fork, washed them, and put them back in his cabinet.
Then, as usual, he took a broom and went to the monastery gate to sweep away the leaves that had fallen from the rain last night.
In the past, Micah hated sweeping the leaves here.
There were two huge trees at the entrance of the monastery, and it was said that they were thousands of years old.
The leaves seemed endless, and he couldn't sweep them all away.
When the first time Sally followed Elijah to the monastery, Micah was sweeping leaves here.
So he was the first person to receive Sally.
Now, for Micah, sweeping fallen leaves here seemed to have another meaning.
While sweeping, he would look back at the door from time to time.
Of course, he didn't see the person he wanted to see.
But he wasn't disappointed.
He knew that Sally would come to visit him again because she promised him.
