"Evie, let Athena get out of those wet clothes first," Aron gently tapped Evie's shoulder.

Evie nodded repeatedly and released Athena. "Why don't you go shower and change? We'll watch over things here."

Athena glanced at Logan, who handed her a bag.

She gave him a weak smile and asked, "Am I getting on your nerves?"

Logan handed her the bag and replied, "Go freshen up. Do you know how terrible you look right now?"

Athena obediently headed to another room's bathroom. The sound of running water filled the room, and the warm water provided a brief reprieve from the chill that had enveloped her limbs.

As she momentarily stood beneath the flowing water, the emotions pent up inside her finally burst forth.

Her shoulders trembled, and she silently cried under the soothing water cascade.

Athena changed into fresh clothes and returned to the room.

Evie immediately approached her, offering a bag. "I had Logan pick up some tablets for you. You go ahead and have a couple. They'll soothe your throat. Are you hungry? I brought some soup for you."

Athena ate whatever Evie gave her and was very cooperative, but her compliance only seemed to sadden Evie even more.

"Now that you're both here, what about Pixie?" It was as if Athena had just remembered her. "Where's Pixie?"

"Nanny's at home, and Alice and Jaxson are there too. Everything's fine," Evie reassured her in a soothing tone. "Have a few more bites."

Athena tried to eat a couple more spoonfuls but couldn't force herself to eat anymore.

She looked at Aron and said, "Aron, I need your help to find someone."

Aron asked, "Sure, Athena. Who are you looking for?"
